Every day objects

For this project I looked at inanimate, every day objects and saw them as beautiful, clever things rather than just as something we use & don't think about:

I firstly looked at a bow of tools which I did a fine line sketch of, which I later re-did in paint:

I used corrugated cardboard to create the background print to the spray can. 

I used a textile workshop to play around with different methods of print including heat induced print.

I loved all the bright colours & bold type face on these cleaning products so I did a painted version of how I saw them.

The mop head I made from cut up strips of dish cloth & the mop bucket I made in a collage style which I then painted over in PVA glue to give a slight shine to the surface.
